Our phases of rehabilitation
Preventative
Emphasis on reducing the chance of developing functional impairments. This phase can begin at any time during your cancer journey. It commonly begins following diagnosis and continues through treatment.
Restorative
Attention given to any functional impairments resulting from cancer or treatments. Focused on restoring maximal function.
Supportive
Focused on optimizing function during progressive disease or further treatment, while working to slow or reduce functional decline and quality of life.
Palliative
Focused on maintaining quality of life while navigating terminal disease/illness.
What to expect
Subjective Screening
Either prior to or during your initial appointment, we’ll go through a series of questions to gain an understanding of your symptoms and experiences.
Assessment and Evaluation
During your appointment, we’ll evaluate each body system to gain a full picture of your strength and function.
Plan of Care & Treatment Interventions
Putting all the pieces of the puzzle together, we’ll design a customized plan of care to address the problematic areas that affect your daily function. Treatment interventions will focus on these areas to improve and restore your functioning.
